Karl Clauson is a pastor, author, radio host, and speaker whose life and ministry have been marked by a passion for gospel clarity, spiritual awakening, and life-transforming discipleship. He is the host of Karl and Crew, heard nationally from Chicago on Moody Radio, and serves as senior pastor of 180 Chicago Church. For more than four decades, Karl has served in pastoral ministry, broadcasting, leadership development, church planting, and disciple-making, helping people move beyond cultural Christianity into a genuine, transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
Karl’s journey has taken him through a wide range of life and ministry experiences. At eighteen, he completed the 1,100-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, an experience that gave him an early and unforgettable lesson in endurance, self-reliance, and the emptiness of achievement apart from God. He and his wife, Junanne, later served in South Africa during a season of political unrest, helping plant churches and watching the gospel advance in difficult places. Across the years, Karl has witnessed powerful movements of prayer, spiritual awakening, and gospel impact — including a work of God in Alaska that helped a church grow into the largest in the state, reaching everyday people, families, community leaders, and even those serving in government.
